Automatic driving lessons teach you to drive in a car with no clutch pedal and no manual gearstick. The car changes gear for you. In Ireland you can sit your full driving test in an automatic. With JBL Driving School, automatic lessons cost €550 for a 12-lesson EDT block or €50 per single lesson, across Wicklow Town, Rathnew, Ashford, Kilcoole, Newtownmountkennedy and Rathdrum, with pick-up and drop-off included.

One honest thing to know before you choose
Pass your test in an automatic and your Irish licence carries code 78, which covers automatic cars only. For most people that’s no downside at all; if you think you’ll need to drive a manual for work, our manual lessons might suit you better. Not sure which? Learn with an RSA Approved Driving Instructor
Every JBL lesson is taught by Linto Cyriac, an Approved Driving Instructor licensed by the Road Safety Authority. That approval is worth checking for in any driving school: it means your instructor has been vetted, tested and re-examined by the RSA to teach on Irish roads, not just someone with a car and a spare hour.
